This 8-day safari begins with unique wildlife encounters and cultural immersion in Samburu National Reserve. Thereafter, proceed to Lake Nakuru where you’ll get to witness the mesmerizing birdlife as well as rhinos as you enjoy your scenic game drives. Relax at Lake Naivasha, taking a boat ride amidst diverse birdlife. The adventure peaks at the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, where full-day game drives unveil the “Big Five” and, if timed right, the awe-inspiring annual migration. Day 1: Nairobi

Upon your arrival at JKIA airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly greeted by one of our travel representatives who will provide you with a comprehensive briefing. Subsequently, you will be efficiently transferred to your hotel, where you have a reservation for check-in and an overnight stay. Your accommodation includes a delightful bed and breakfast arrangement.

Day 2: Drive to Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter check out and drive to Samburu: Approx. 5 hours. Arrive at Samburu and check into your lodge or camp. Enjoy your lunch and relax for a bit before heading out for your afternoon game drive in the reserve to spot unique wildlife species like reticulated giraffes and Grevy’s zebras

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve.

Full day in the northern frontier district with morning and afternoon game drives.

Days 4: Drive to Lake Nakuru

Breakfast at the Lodge Check out & drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its birdlife and rhino population. Check into your accommodation upon arrival and enjoy your lunch before proceeding for your afternoon game drive around the lake to witness the vibrant birdlife and other rhinos.

Days 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

After savoring a leisurely breakfast in the morning, it will be time to check out from your lodge and embark on a captivating journey to Masai Mara. The drive to this renowned game reserve will last approximately four hours, offering glimpses of breathtaking landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at your camp, immersing yourself in the wild beauty that awaits. Lunch will be served at the open restaurant, providing a remarkable vantage point overlooking the vast plains of the Masai Mara. You will have the opportunity to relish your meal while marveling at the scenic surroundings. Afterward, take some time to unwind and recharge. In the afternoon, around 4:00 pm, prepare for an exhilarating game drive, venturing into the enchanting realm of the Mara. Keep a keen eye out for lions, cheetahs as well as other fascinating wildlife encounters, such as leopards, hyenas, and hippos. Around 6:00 pm, return to your camp, where you can freshen up or choose to join one of the camp’s captivating bonfires or lounges. Engage in lively conversations and share safari stories with our hospitable hosts or experienced guides, immersing yourself in the magical atmosphere of the African wilderness. Indulge in a delectable dinner, savoring the flavors of the region. As the night unfolds, you can either choose to retire to your camp for restful sleep or continue to relish the camaraderie and ambiance of the camp’s inviting spaces.

Days 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

On this day you will have a morning game drive where you will drive across the plains in search of the big five and other wild animals before returning to the lodge for breakfast. The remainder part of the morning, you will get to enjoy an hour-long nature walk with the resident guide based at the camp. The walk allows you to closely observe and learn about the local flora and fauna within the vicinity of the property. (This walk will not be conducted into the main reserve so as to ensure your protection from wild animals}. Later return to your camp for lunch before heading out for your afternoon game drive at approximately 1600hrr returning to the lodge later in the evening for dinner.

Days 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

On the morning of your seventh day, your safari adventure continues with an exhilarating full-day game drive that promises to be a highlight of your journey. With your picnic lunch in tow, you’ll set out on your safari, ready to uncover the wonders that this iconic wilderness has to offer. Throughout the day, your expert guide will navigate the diverse landscapes of Masai Mara, guiding you in search of the renowned “Big Five” – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses. The Mara’s rich ecosystem also presents opportunities to spot other fascinating creatures, such as hippos lounging by the water’s edge and Nile crocodiles stealthily gliding through the river. As the sun climbs higher in the sky, you’ll find the perfect spot to enjoy your picnic lunch. Nestled under the shade of a Croton tree, you’ll have the chance to relax and dine while surrounded by the breathtaking panorama of the reserve. This serene moment allows you to absorb the natural beauty surrounding you, creating memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Masai Mara’s allure extends beyond its resident wildlife. While the month of February may not welcome the great migration, the reserve still captivates with its diverse animal interactions and breathtaking vistas. It’s a realm where predators and prey engage in an ongoing battle for survival, creating a dynamic and captivating spectacle. As the day begins to wane, you’ll slowly return to your camp, your heart, and camera filled with the day’s awe-inspiring encounters.

Days 8: Departure

Following your leisurely breakfast, it will be time to check out of your camp and journey back to Nairobi, a drive of approximately 5 to 6 hours. A farewell lunch at a local restaurant in Nairobi allows for a final taste of Kenyan cuisine and culture. Depending on your departure time, you might have the chance for some last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing. Finally, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure, marking the end of an unforgettable Kenyan safari adventure.
