Amboseli National Park is the second most popular destination after the Masai Mara in Kenya and it lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania.
The Park covers 392 square km, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 square km of the destination ecosystem that has a mixed topography of plains, acacia woodland, rock thorn bush, swamps and marshes. Moreover, this park is famous for its large concentration of elephant and the perfect view of Mt.Kilimanjaro which is the tallest Mountain in Africa and the biggest majestic standing mountain in the world.
This park has everything you would expect from a national park: the Big Five, breathtaking scenery as well as other wildlife such as: African Buffalo, Impala, Cheetah, Maasai Giraffe, Hyenas, Lions, Fringe Oryx, Wildebeest among other African animals. There are also over 400 species of birds at Amboseli.
Most famously, the park is noted for its large herds of elephant-almost a guaranteed sight on any safari.
